The Role
As our Strategic HR Business Partner, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, bridging the gap between ambitious business objectives and the workforce capabilities required to achieve them. You will be responsible for shaping the future of our organization through expert talent management, structural design, and proactive employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Alignment: Work closely with senior leaders to translate high-level business goals into actionable talent and workforce strategies.
- Organizational Design: Lead initiatives to evolve our structural frameworks, ensuring they support both technical and administrative efficiency.
- Talent Leadership: Drive specialized recruitment efforts, focusing on high-value roles across the energy and power value chain.
- Performance & Succession: Cultivate a high-performance culture through sophisticated leadership development and succession planning.
- Employee Relations: Navigate complex workplace dynamics with a focus on fairness, compliance, and resolution.
- Change Management: Act as a champion for our transformation agenda, fostering a culture of agility and excellence.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage HR analytics to provide executive management with actionable insights.
Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for a professional who brings a depth of experience and a strong academic foundation:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or related fields. A Master’s degree (MBA/MSc) is a distinct advantage.
- Certification: Professional certification (CIPM, CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Experience: A minimum of 10–12 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a strategic business-partnering or senior leadership capacity.
- Industry Expertise: Proven background in supporting technical or engineering-driven organizations, particularly within the energy, oil & gas, or infrastructure sectors.
- Technical Proficiency: A comprehensive understanding of Nigerian labour law and public sector governance is essential.
