The Opportunity: General Manager, Human Resources
This is a pivotal role for an accomplished, strategic, and results-oriented Human Resources professional ready to drive significant impact. As the General Manager, Human Resources, you will be instrumental in shaping the people strategy, fostering a high-performing workforce, and building the organisational culture that will underpin the Airport's long-term success. Reporting directly to Executive Management, you will provide strategic leadership across all human capital and administrative functions, ensuring Aero Alliance attracts, develops, engages, and retains top-tier talent.
Your mandate will include championing organisational development, meticulous workforce planning, robust leadership development programs, effective performance management systems, positive employee relations, comprehensive HR governance, and a thriving organisational culture. You will also ensure strict compliance with all applicable labour laws, aviation regulations, and international best practices.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and meticulously implement the Airport's Human Capital Strategy, ensuring it is perfectly aligned with overarching corporate objectives.
- Lead critical workforce planning initiatives, sophisticated talent acquisition strategies, comprehensive succession planning frameworks, and impactful leadership development programs.
- Drive significant organisational effectiveness improvements, spearhead culture transformation efforts, and cultivate a highly engaged workforce.
- Oversee all facets of performance management, design competitive compensation and benefits packages, champion learning and development initiatives, streamline HR operations, and skillfully manage industrial relations.
- Provide invaluable strategic HR advisory support and expert guidance to Executive Management.
- Ensure unwavering compliance with all employment legislation, aviation regulatory requirements, and rigorous corporate governance standards.
- Build and nurture a high-performing, future-ready workforce that consistently delivers operational excellence and world-class service.
What We're Looking For:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, Law, or a closely related discipline is essential.
- A Master's Degree (MBA, M.Sc. Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field) is highly desirable and will be a significant advantage.
- Professional membership of a recognised HR professional body such as CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, CIPD, or an equivalent organisation.
- A minimum of 15 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including at least 7 years in a senior leadership role, demonstrating increasing responsibility and strategic influence.
- Proven, hands-on experience in leading successful HR transformation projects, organisational development initiatives, and effective change management programs.
- A strong, in-depth knowledge of Nigerian Labour Laws, contemporary HR best practices, and robust corporate governance principles.
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and strategic decision-making skills are paramount.
- Prior experience within aviation, transportation, infrastructure, hospitality, or other highly regulated industries will be a distinct added advantage.
