The Role and What We Are Looking For
As the Group Human Resource Manager, you will serve as a strategic partner to the executive leadership team. You will oversee and harmonize all HR operations across multiple business units, ensuring consistency in policy implementation, talent management, and employee relations. Key Responsibilities
In this leadership capacity, you will be expected to:
- Supervise & Coordinate: Direct, monitor, and mentor HR Executives across all business units to ensure seamless operations and consistency in standard operating procedures.
- Strategy Formulation: Develop, implement, and periodically review group-wide HR strategies, policies, and best practices aligned with overall business goals.
- Talent Management: Lead comprehensive recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and talent retention initiatives across all hospitality outlets.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Nigerian labour laws and relevant organizational policies, minimizing legal risks.
- Learning & Development: Drive strategic learning and development programs designed to upskill staff and support sustainable organizational growth.
- Compensation & Workforce Planning: Oversee payroll administration, staff benefits, compensation structures, and strategic workforce planning to optimize resource allocation.
- Employee Engagement: Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture that promotes productivity and high employee morale.
Key Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or any related social science discipline.
- Professional Certification: CIPM certification is compulsory. Applications without professional membership will not be considered.
- Experience: 5 to 10 years of proven, hands-on HR experience, with a substantial portion of this experience gained specifically within the hospitality industry.
- Legal & Policy Knowledge: Solid, up-to-date knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and modern HR best practices.
- Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding leadership, communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Technical Proficiency: High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) is a strong advantage.
