About the Role

As the Zonal Corporate Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving sustainable business growth across your assigned zone. You will be responsible for the acquisition, development, and management of corporate, institutional, SME, and cooperative relationships. Your work will directly support LAPO MfB's financial inclusion agenda by delivering innovative financial solutions to businesses and underserved market segments.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Development: Execute zonal corporate business strategies that align with the Bank's growth and financial inclusion goals.
Business Growth: Lead the acquisition and retention of high-value corporate, institutional, and SME clients.
Operations Leadership: Supervise and lead operations across multiple states, ensuring team productivity and operational efficiency.
Deposit Mobilization: Drive liability growth through strategic relationship management with high-net-worth individuals and corporate entities.
Risk Management: Generate high-quality risk assets while ensuring strict adherence to the Bank’s credit policies and regulatory frameworks.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong ties with government agencies, NGOs, cooperatives, and development partners.
Market Intelligence: Conduct ongoing competitor analysis and market research to identify and capture new business opportunities.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Banking & Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Marketing, or a related field.
Certification: Professional qualifications such as ACIB, MCIB, ACA, or ACCA are highly desirable.
Experience: A minimum of 7–10 years of banking experience, with at least 4 years specifically in Corporate/Commercial Banking, Business Development, or Relationship Management.
Skills: Proven track record in deposit mobilization, corporate lending, and team leadership. Experience working with SMEs and cooperatives is a distinct advantage.
