About the Role

We are searching for a high-performing professional who is currently working within the banking or financial services sector. The ideal candidate will possess an advanced grasp of financial modeling and the rare ability to distill complex financial data into actionable, easy-to-understand insights for non-finance stakeholders. As Finance Manager, you will take full ownership of managing and scaling the financial operations, reports, and strategic financial growth initiatives of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the comprehensive annual budgeting process and oversee accurate monthly and quarterly rolling forecasts.
• Reporting: Prepare timely, precise financial statements and deliver high-impact financial insights directly to the executive leadership team.
• Strategic Growth: Analyze evolving market trends and competitor landscapes to uncover lucrative opportunities for business expansion and cost-optimization.
• Risk Management: Guarantee strict adherence to local and federal regulatory frameworks while instituting robust internal financial controls.
• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and inspire the accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• Cash Flow Management: Actively monitor liquidity profiles and oversee investment strategies to maximize corporate capital efficiency.
• Strategic Alignment: Develop long-term financial plans closely aligned with the overarching corporate objectives and prevailing market dynamics.
• Process Enhancement: Continuously develop, streamline, and upgrade internal financial reporting systems.

Academic Qualifications & Required Experience

• Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1) in Accounting or Finance.
• A minimum of 6+ years of continuous experience in the finance industry, including at least 2 years in a dedicated managerial position within the banking or financial sector.
• Mandatory possession of a relevant professional accounting qualification such as ICAN or ACCA.
• Must be currently employed within a recognized banking or financial institution.
• A Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance is considered a strong added advantage.
• Practical knowledge and working experience with the BankOne Core Application / Accounting Software is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated expertise in building, maintaining, and scaling financial models to drive vital business decisions.
• Advanced business acumen paired with a proven track record of leveraging data to solve intricate business challenges.
• Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to draft professional reports for executive consumption.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and financial software systems.
