Shape the Future of Sustainable Growth as Group Chief Finance Officer at Emeraid International Group
Are you an accomplished finance leader with a passion for driving institutional resilience and sustainable development? Emeraid International Group (EIG) is seeking a strategic, hands-on Group Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to join its dynamic leadership team. This is a critical executive role designed to strengthen financial infrastructure as EIG develops a lean shared-services platform supporting its diverse portfolio in development advisory, enterprise development, and renewable energy.
The Opportunity
As the Group CFO, you will play a pivotal role in protecting liquidity, improving financial visibility, and preparing financeable growth opportunities across the organization. EIG is looking for a leader who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves—someone who can rigorously interrogate a cash-flow model, review project budgets, orchestrate funding processes, and communicate complex financial insights to the CEO and Board with absolute clarity.
Core Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Planning: Lead financial strategy, annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and capital-allocation recommendations while rigorously testing the affordability of new commitments.
- Cash Flow & Working Capital: Own a rolling 13-week cash forecast, oversee payment planning, manage working capital, drive receivables follow-up, and analyze foreign-currency exposure.
- Capital & Structured Finance: Coordinate debt, equity, and structured-finance preparation, including financial modeling, data rooms, lender engagement, due diligence, and covenant monitoring.
- Management Reporting: Deliver reliable entity-level and Group management reporting with transparent intercompany reconciliations and clear insights into profit, cash, and risk.
- Project & Grant Finance: Oversee project and grant finance, contract economics, restricted funds, results-based funding claims, and shared-cost allocations.
- Controls & Team Leadership: Build proportionate internal controls, mentor the existing finance team, and reduce routine dependence on the Group CEO without compromising oversight.
The CFO reports directly to the CEO, with direct access to the Board or its designated committee on material financial matters, operating independently of the COO.
Essential Capabilities and Experience
- A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline, paired with substantial executive experience.
- A completed professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or a recognized global equivalent, in good standing.
- At least 10 years of progressive finance experience, including a minimum of 4 years leading a finance function, multi-entity finance team, or substantial project-finance portfolio.
- Demonstrated history of personal ownership in cash-flow management, control enhancements, and Board-level reporting.
- Hands-on experience preparing or executing financing transactions, including financial modeling and investor negotiations.
- Advanced spreadsheet modeling skills, deep accounting systems knowledge, and the ability to lead a lean team in a fast-paced environment.
Advantageous background: Experience in professional services, development consulting, donor-funded programs, renewable energy/EPC/infrastructure, asset finance, or multi-company businesses. A relevant master's degree is a plus, but proven executive capability is paramount.
Method of Application
Interested and qualified candidates should submit their comprehensive CV and a cover letter detailing their executive contributions to finance transformations, cash-flow management, and capital-raising initiatives to careers@emeraidgroup.com.
