The Role
As a Treasury Officer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization. Your primary focus will be on optimizing cash flow management, driving efficient financial reporting, and conducting rigorous risk assessments to ensure informed decision-making across all business segments.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare timely, accurate financial reports, manage cash flow postings, and provide essential financial data for leadership.
- Payment Coordination: Manage daily, weekly, and monthly payment schedules for vendors and clients.
- Collaboration: Liaise with project management and project accountants to ensure project financing goals are met.
- Compliance & Audits: Lead bank reconciliations, ensure adherence to statutory payments (PAYE, Pensions, NHF), and participate in internal and external audits.
- Cash Management: Monitor liquidity levels, execute cash flow projections, and implement robust financial controls.
- QHSE Commitment: Uphold and promote Occupational Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies across all business activities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in treasury, preferably within EPC, oil & gas, or energy sectors.
- Must possess a professional certification: ACA, ACCA, ICAN (Chartered Accountant), or CFA Charterholder.
- Solid understanding of project finance structures, financial guarantees, and risk management strategies.
