About the Role

As the Senior Finance Manager, you will serve as a cornerstone of the school’s leadership team. You will be responsible for overseeing the institution's fiscal health, ensuring rigorous financial reporting, and guiding strategic initiatives such as capital raising and debt management. You will work closely with the CFO to ensure that the school not only meets its financial obligations but thrives in a competitive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Oversight: Manage complex financial operations, including budgeting, payroll, taxation, and capital management.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage operational data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and efficiency improvements.
Compliance & Taxation: Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax laws, managing audits and statutory remittances with precision.
Capital Strategy: Assist in the execution of debt financing and capital-raising activities to support the school's infrastructure and long-term goals.
Leadership: Mentor and coordinate finance staff, fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and professional growth.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: B.Sc. in Accounting or Finance; ACA/ACCA/MBA is considered a strong advantage.
Certification: Valid ICAN certification is required.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of robust experience in accounting and finance roles.
Technical Skills: Proficient in creating financial statements, understanding of Nigerian Taxation Laws, and familiarity with Xero accounting ERP.
Soft Skills: Exceptional multitasking, leadership, and communication skills suitable for engaging with boards, parents, and executive leadership.
