About the Role
As a Semi-Senior Audit Associate, you will play an instrumental role in planning, executing, and finalizing comprehensive audit engagements. You won't just be crunching numbers; you will be supervising junior team members, ensuring absolute compliance with regulatory frameworks, and providing valuable insights directly to Audit Managers and Partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in audit engagements from initial planning through to final completion.
- Supervise, coach, and review the working papers of junior audit associates using CaseWare.
- Perform substantive testing, evaluate internal controls, and identify potential business risks.
- Review financial statements to guarantee strict compliance with IFRS and ISA standards.
- Draft comprehensive management letters and audit reports with actionable recommendations.
- Liaise professionally with clients to resolve audit queries and gather necessary evidence.
Candidate Requirements
To thrive in this demanding yet rewarding role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 4 to 6 years of progressive audit experience within a reputable professional services firm.
- Technical Skills: Mandatory practical working knowledge of CaseWare, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and a strong grasp of IFRS and ISA.
- Qualifications: Must possess a relevant professional qualification such as ICAN (ACA). ACCA qualification or active progression is a distinct advantage.
