The Opportunity: Relationship Officer - Financial Inclusion
As a Relationship Officer for Financial Inclusion, you will be at the forefront of our mission, directly impacting communities and individuals. This pivotal role involves managing and nurturing relationships with associations within your assigned locality, driving crucial customer acquisition, facilitating loan disbursements, and spearheading market activation efforts. A core aspect of your responsibility will be to ensure the robust repayment performance of customers you originate, thereby contributing to sustainable portfolio growth and the success of our financial inclusion initiatives. This role requires a proactive approach to promoting product adoption at the grassroots level and is available across multiple locations including Lagos, Anambra, Rivers, Kaduna, Kano, Oyo, and Ogun.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Acquisition, Lead Generation, and Sales
- Identify, onboard, and activate new markets and locations specifically for Financial Inclusion sales initiatives.
- Drive and achieve loan acquisition and disbursement targets within your assigned markets.
- Generate high-quality leads through engaging field activities, strategic referrals, and collaborative team initiatives.
- Champion the promotion of Financial Inclusion products, including loans, savings, micropension, and microinsurance adoption among target communities.
- Cultivate a strong and visible community presence to ensure continuous and sustainable customer acquisition.
Relationship Management and Engagement
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with association leaders and key members.
- Proactively address and resolve challenges and complaints from associations to foster enduring partnerships.
- Facilitate smooth and comprehensive onboarding experiences for association members, ensuring they fully understand product offerings, usage, and benefits.
- Efficiently respond to, qualify, and track all inbound leads and requests, ensuring timely follow-up and maximizing conversion rates.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Credit Direct Limited and the associations, effectively addressing inquiries, concerns, and needs.
Collaboration and Coordination
- Collaborate closely with your Team Lead on the successful onboarding of new markets and associations.
- Develop, execute, and support the implementation of localized sales and engagement strategies designed to significantly increase the conversion of association members into active customers.
- Work synergistically with the marketing team to design and implement locality-specific promotional campaigns that enhance conversion and elevate the overall customer experience.
Performance Tracking and Reporting
- Accurately track and report on vital metrics such as sales conversion rates, disbursements, collections, and pipeline performance.
- Gather invaluable feedback from association members and monitor other relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for comprehensive reporting to the Team Lead (and the Head of Financial Inclusion Unit when required).
- Continuously monitor and strive to improve personal performance against assigned targets and objectives.
Requirements:
- A minimum of OND, HND, or BSc in any field of study.
- 1 - 3 years of progressive sales experience in a related field within the financial services industry.
- Prior experience in lending and/or collections will be considered a significant advantage.
