Role Overview: Procurement Manager

Are you a seasoned procurement professional with a knack for real estate negotiation and capital project execution? Moniepoint is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end strategic sourcing, market real estate acquisition, commercial lease negotiations, vendor onboarding, and contract management. This pivotal role acts as the commercial anchor for CapEx and real estate portfolio growth, driving the rapid, cost-effective rollout of regional offices and branch experience centers across major Nigerian cities (including Lagos, Benin, and Gombe in Q3).

Key Responsibilities

Real Estate Procurement & Site Acquisition: Lead market searches and commercial evaluations of prospective real estate assets across Nigeria. Spearhead high-stakes negotiations to secure competitive rental rates, favorable rent-free fit-out periods, and long-term tenure security. Collaborate with Legal counsel and certified surveyors to ensure rigorous due diligence.
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management: Develop centralized procurement strategies for multi-site branch rollouts. Build a pre-qualified vendor matrix of construction professionals and civil contractors. Standardize pricing for recurring brand elements (signage, cladding, security doors, etc.) and build relationships with global and local manufacturers to de-risk long-lead imports.
Technical Collaboration & Cost Control: Partner with Quantity Surveyors, Branch Network Architects, and Facilities Managers to audit technical drawings. Maintain an updated rates log, identify value-engineering opportunities, and validate space transformation costs.
Sourcing Specialized Infrastructure: Procure specialized institutional-grade security assets (vault doors, CBN-approved mantrap doors, ballistic glass counter screens) and mission-critical MEP infrastructure (precision cooling units, automated fire suppression, solar panel systems, power generators).
Tender & Contract Administration: Manage RFPs and ITTs, negotiate commercial terms (retention fees, performance bonds, advance payment guarantees), and collaborate with Legal/Risk teams to draft robust Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Logistics & Handover: Coordinate the logistics of moving FF&E nationwide and ensure smooth facility handovers with comprehensive warranties and operational manuals.

Requirements & Experience

Years of Experience: 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, corporate real estate acquisition, or capital projects.
Industry Background: Strong background within a commercial bank (managing branch rollouts), a high-growth fintech with physical touchpoints, or a Tier-1 construction/project management firm in Nigeria.
Geographical Execution: Demonstrated experience navigating logistical and supply chain dynamics across various geopolitical zones in Nigeria.
Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and auditing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), understanding construction/lease contract frameworks, and working with modern ERP/e-procurement software (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
Desirable Credentials: Professional certifications or memberships from recognized bodies like CIPS, CIPSMN, or NIESV, and a degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Estate Management, or Business Administration.
