About the Opportunity: Operations & Supply Chain Manager

Our client is on the lookout for a proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven Operations & Supply Chain Manager. This critical role is designed for a professional ready to take the helm of the company’s entire operational and supply chain ecosystem. Covering diverse channels such as retail, e-commerce, warehousing, procurement, fulfillment, and distribution, the successful candidate will be instrumental in optimizing processes and fostering seamless departmental synergy.

This position is not just about management; it's about leadership that drives efficiency, ensures inventory availability, optimizes costs, refines demand planning, and supports ambitious growth and expansion objectives. We are seeking an individual with a proven track record, ideally within fast-paced environments like FMCG, beauty, skincare, retail, e-commerce, or consumer goods. The ability to navigate both strategic planning and the demands of day-to-day execution is paramount for success in this dynamic role.

Key Responsibilities: Shaping Operational Excellence

The Operations & Supply Chain Manager will orchestrate a wide range of functions, each vital to the client's success:

  • Supply Chain Management: Oversee the full spectrum of supply chain activities, from procurement and inventory to warehousing, fulfillment, and logistics. Develop and execute strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs, while actively monitoring supplier performance and managing critical relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers. Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks and bottlenecks.
  • Inventory & Warehouse Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels across all stores, warehouses, and fulfillment centers. Implement robust inventory control systems to minimize discrepancies, wastage, and stockouts, coordinating regular stock counts and audits. Ensure all warehouse operations adhere to stringent operational, safety, and quality standards.
  • Fulfillment & Logistics: Direct order fulfillment processes for both retail and e-commerce, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch and delivery. Monitor key logistics metrics and develop strategies to boost delivery efficiency and reduce costs, collaborating closely with customer service on fulfillment-related escalations.
  • Operations Management: Champion operational excellence across all business touchpoints. Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operational frameworks, and continuous process improvements. Facilitate effective coordination across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, and Inventory teams, monitoring KPIs and preparing insightful performance reports. Support strategic expansion initiatives, including new store openings and regional growth.
  • Demand Planning & Forecasting: Partner with Sales and Marketing to develop accurate demand forecasts, aligning inventory planning with market insights and historical data. Ensure inventory investments are strategically aligned with projected sales and business objectives.
  • Procurement & Vendor Management: Lead procurement planning and critical supplier negotiations. Evaluate vendors based on quality, pricing, timelines, and reliability, ensuring procurement processes align with budgets. Identify alternative sourcing opportunities to enhance resilience and reduce dependency risks.
  • Performance Management & Reporting: Establish and track operational KPIs across departments. Prepare comprehensive weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for management, monitoring team productivity, efficiency, and execution timelines to ensure accountability.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure strict adherence to internal operational policies and regulatory requirements. Implement controls to safeguard company assets, inventory, and operational data, while proactively monitoring and mitigating operational risks.

Who We Are Looking For: Qualifications and Skills

To thrive in this challenging yet rewarding role, candidates should possess a robust blend of qualifications, experience, and competencies:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is essential.
  • Professional certifications such as APICS, CIPS, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma are a significant advantage.
  • A minimum of 5–8 years of experience in operations and supply chain management.
  • Prior experience within FMCG, Beauty & Skincare, Retail, E-commerce, or Consumer Goods environments is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing warehouse, procurement, fulfillment, and logistics operations.
