Role Overview and Responsibilities
As a Driver at Masterpiece Schools, you will be entrusted with the safe and timely transportation of students, staff, and school materials. Your role extends beyond just driving; you will be a vital ambassador of our school's values while on the road, ensuring the highest standards of safety, courtesy, and professionalism at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport students and staff to and from school, as well as to designated school-related events and excursions.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety regulations, and school policies while operating school vehicles.
- Conduct routine daily inspections of the vehicle (checking oil, water, tire pressure, brakes, fuel, etc.) to ensure optimal mechanical condition.
- Maintain cleanliness inside and outside of the assigned vehicle on a regular basis.
- Keep accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance schedules.
- Promptly report any mechanical faults, accidents, or delays to school administration.
- Assist students safely on and off the vehicle when necessary, maintaining order and discipline during transit.
Candidate Requirements:
- Possession of relevant educational qualifications and a valid, up-to-date driver’s license.
- Proven professional driving experience, preferably within the educational sector or a reputable corporate organization.
- Extensive knowledge of Lagos roads, traffic regulations, and routes.
- Exceptional defensive driving skills and a clean driving record with no history of major infractions.
- High level of integrity, punctuality, patience, and reliability.
- Good communication skills and a courteous demeanor aligned with our Christian values.
