How Can You Make a Difference?

The Driver provides reliable and safe driving services while ensuring full compliance with local traffic rules and UNICEF protocols. In this role, you are expected to demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, integrity, adaptability, and protocol awareness. Key responsibilities include:

Providing secure and timely transportation for authorized personnel and materials.
Supporting general administrative tasks and engaging in self-directed learning during non-driving periods.
Demonstrating a client-oriented approach, courtesy, tact, and a high sense of responsibility.
Working effectively with people of diverse national and cultural backgrounds.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this impactful opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Education: Completed Secondary Education along with a valid driver’s license and thorough knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
Work Experience: A minimum of two years of professional work experience as a driver in an international organization, embassy, or the UN system, backed by a clean, safe driving record.
Skills: Proficiency in safe driving, defensive driving, basic vehicle maintenance, GPS navigation, route planning, security protocols, radio communication, emergency response, record keeping, and mobile navigation apps.
Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required.

Desirable Qualifications

Candidates who possess the following will have an added advantage:

Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language of the duty station.
Experience in airport protocol and remote field driving.
Relevant country-level experience, particularly in development, fragile settings, and humanitarian contexts.
