About the Role
As a KYC Support Officer, you will play a vital role in safeguarding Moniepoint by ensuring that all merchants remain compliant with regulatory Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. You will work closely with organizational leadership to mitigate risks and prevent the platform from being associated with financial crime.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough risk assessments for all new client relationships.
- Perform detailed due diligence, including the request and verification of KYC documentation.
- Draft comprehensive client risk assessments for management review.
- Manage the planning and tracking of periodic client reviews and updates.
- Execute incident-driven client reviews as required.
- Collaborate effectively with the Data & Documents team to maintain accuracy.
- Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to streamline documentation processes.
- Provide essential administrative support for KYC reporting activities.
What We Are Looking For
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience, ideally within a banking, fintech, or digital banking environment.
- Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of customer onboarding and corporate/SME account opening requirements.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a background in client service or front-office operations.
- Advantage: Prior knowledge of compliance standards will be highly regarded.
