About the Role
As the Head of Product Control & Accounting, you will take the reins of global accounting operations and group financial reporting processes. Your core mission will be to lead financial consolidation at the holding company level, manage global audits, and ensure high-integrity reporting across multiple entities and regions.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will oversee the following crucial functions:
- Financial Statement Accuracy: Ensure all financial statements precisely depict the financial health of the business across various global jurisdictions and entities.
- Group Consolidation: Lead the preparation and consolidation of comprehensive financial statements at the holding company level, ensuring deadlines are met with high accuracy.
- Month-End Closing: Coordinate and streamline the accounting and month-end closing processes for both the holding entity and its diverse subsidiaries.
- Global Accounting Operations: Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and reconciliations to maintain alignment with consolidated financial standards.
- Regulatory & IFRS Compliance: Ensure absolute compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and statutory regulations across all active markets.
- Cost Allocation: Establish, manage, and scale global cost allocation methodologies to provide transparency on shared corporate expenses.
- Internal Controls: Implement and monitor rigid internal financial controls designed to mitigate risk within high-volume, multi-entity environments.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with executive finance leaders to continuous improve accounting infrastructure, particularly when launching in new global markets.
- Audit Management: Cultivate professional relationships with external auditors and lead global audit workflows to successful completion.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this high-impact executive position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required. You must also hold a professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent credential.
- Professional Experience: 10+ years of dedicated accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years spent in a leadership capacity within a multi-country, multi-entity environment.
- Technical Expertise: Deep, practical experience handling IFRS, complex consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and multi-currency transactions.
- Industry Background: Prior experience with a Big 4 audit or advisory firm is highly preferred.
- Adaptability: A solid track record of delivering accurate, reliable results in highly dynamic, fast-paced financial environments.
