Salve Consulting Limited, a dynamic and holistic Human Resources firm, is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Accounts to join our growing team. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for steering the financial health and integrity of our operations across multiple strategic locations: Ozubulu (Anambra), Jos (Plateau), Awka (Anambra), and Suleja (Niger). We are offering a competitive salary of ₦350,000 Gross to the ideal candidate who is ready to make a significant impact.

About the Role

As the Head of Accounts, you will be the cornerstone of financial oversight at your assigned location. Your expertise will be crucial in managing all financial and accounting activities, ensuring unparalleled accuracy in financial reporting, meticulous budget management, stringent statutory compliance, and robust internal controls across all our diverse business units. This includes our thriving bakery, bustling restaurant, convenient mart, and essential filling station operations.

This role demands a proactive leader who can not only manage complex financial operations but also contribute valuable insights that drive business growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Your leadership will be instrumental in a wide array of financial functions, including:

• Providing comprehensive supervision for all accounting operations within your designated branch.
• Preparing and presenting accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports that inform strategic decisions.
• Developing, implementing, and rigorously monitoring departmental and branch budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Ensuring the precise and timely recording of all financial transactions across all business units.
• Proactively monitoring cash flow and ensuring adequate liquidity to support seamless operations.
• Overseeing thorough bank reconciliations and meticulous account reconciliations.
• Guaranteeing the timely remittance of taxes, pensions, and all other statutory deductions.
• Implementing and maintaining strong, effective financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
• Monitoring revenue collections diligently and investigating any discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.
• Providing essential support to management through insightful financial analysis and actionable business insights.
• Coordinating and facilitating internal and external audits, ensuring transparency and adherence to standards.
• Ensuring strict compliance with all company financial policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Supervising, mentoring, and developing accounting personnel, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team environment.

Qualifications & Experience

We are searching for a candidate with a proven track record of financial leadership and a strong educational foundation:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline is essential.
• Possession of an ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is a mandatory requirement.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a dedicated supervisory role, is crucial for this leadership position.
• Experience gained within the retail, hospitality, manufacturing, or FMCG sectors will be considered a significant advantage.
