This leadership position is designed for an experienced banking professional capable of steering a dedicated team toward achieving key strategic business objectives. The successful candidate will spearhead deposit liability mobilization, generate high-quality risk assets, and establish sustainable revenue streams for the bank.
Key Responsibilities & Principal Duties
As the Head of Dedicated Banking, you will provide strategic direction and business leadership across the department. Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Leadership: Provide overall guidance, tactical direction, and robust business leadership to optimize department performance and activities.
- Financial & Budgetary Management: Drive the growth of the Retail and SME market segments by successfully generating deposit liabilities, profit targets (PAT/PBT), and risk asset budgets as directed by executive management.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and deepen high-value relationships with key customers, including major religious organizations and high-net-worth clients, maintaining proactive call programs and exceptional customer service standards.
- Asset & Portfolio Growth: Appraise, disburse, and monitor high-quality risk assets while ensuring zero tolerance for inactive or dormant accounts.
- Business Expansion: Identify new market outlets, develop innovative marketing plans, and network with potential clients to continuously expand the bank's customer base.
- Team Building & Talent Development: Recruit, mentor, and train departmental staff to bridge skill gaps, foster a high-performance culture, and optimize operational efficiency within approved budgets.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
To be considered for this high-level executive role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline from a recognized institution. A postgraduate degree (e.g., MBA) or a relevant professional certification will be highly advantageous.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in corporate banking, or 15 years of general banking experience, with at least 6 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in financial analysis, basic accounting, business law, commercial banking operations, risk assessment, and credit policies/procedures.
- Market Insight: Excellent understanding of macroeconomic trends and their direct implications on the finance and banking sector. Public sector experience is a valuable plus.
