The Role and Its Impact

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to manage a wide range of responsibilities designed to safeguard the company’s assets and optimize processes:

Audit Planning & Execution: Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive annual Group audit plans.
Risk Assessment & Controls: Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes, identifying gaps and proposing robust solutions.
Comprehensive Audits: Conduct systematic financial, operational, and compliance audits across all business locations.
Verification & Validation: Verify financial records, inventory, physical assets, and operational activities to ensure accuracy and policy alignment.
Investigation & Forensic Audit: Lead investigations into suspected fraud, financial irregularities, and control breaches.
Implementation Monitoring: Track and monitor the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure business units take proper corrective actions.
Reporting: Prepare detailed, objective, and timely audit reports for executive management, outlining findings and strategic recommendations.
Surprise Checks: Conduct unannounced audits and spot checks where necessary to verify compliance.

Required Qualifications and Experience

To succeed in this role, you must possess strong financial acumen, exceptional leadership skills, and a solid ethical foundation. Candidates are required to meet the following criteria:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline.
Professional Certification: Active certification in ICAN, ACCA, CIA, or an equivalent globally recognized professional qualification is mandatory.
Experience: A minimum of seven (7) years of audit experience, with at least three (3) years served in a senior audit or supervisory role.
Multi-Location Exposure: Prior experience auditing multi-location or group operations is highly desirable.
