Role Overview
As the Group Accountant, you will serve as the backbone of the organization’s financial health. You will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight of financial management, reporting, compliance, treasury operations, and internal controls. Your work will directly impact the business's ability to maintain growth, profitability, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Directing group-wide accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting.
- Consolidating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with precision.
- Ensuring total compliance with international accounting standards, local tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Spearheading the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning cycles.
- Managing cash flow and overseeing treasury activities to optimize liquidity.
- Developing and enforcing rigorous internal financial controls.
- Providing actionable financial analysis and strategic insights to the executive leadership team.
- Acting as the primary lead for external audits and regulatory inspections.
- Evaluating the profitability of various business units and reviewing capital expenditure proposals.
- Mentoring and developing the finance team to ensure operational excellence.
Qualifications & Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must demonstrate a high level of technical expertise and leadership capability:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a closely related field.
- Certification: Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification).
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of professional accounting experience, with at least 5 years specifically in a senior financial management capacity.
- Specific Expertise: Proven experience in managing finance for multi-location business operations is mandatory.
