About the Role

As the Financial Controller, you will be at the helm of the organization's financial operations. You will be responsible for ensuring fiscal integrity, regulatory compliance, and providing the executive leadership team with the data-driven insights necessary to navigate complex market environments. You will lead the finance function, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Mentor and develop your finance team while aligning financial goals with the overarching corporate strategy.
Financial Integrity: Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, ensuring strict adherence to IFRS and local statutory obligations.
Analytical Excellence: Drive the budgeting and forecasting cycle, utilizing financial modeling to identify growth opportunities and cost-saving measures.
Treasury Management: Maintain optimal liquidity and robust banking relationships to support operational continuity and capital projects.
Governance: Strengthen internal controls and oversee successful audit processes.

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical certification and practical management experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (MBA or Master’s in Finance is highly preferred).
Certifications: A valid ACA, ACCA, or CPA certification is mandatory.
Experience: 8–12 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 4 years in a senior management capacity, preferably within the oil and gas or infrastructure sectors.
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Zoho, coupled with a deep understanding of Nigerian tax laws and IFRS.
