Role Summary

As a Finance Officer at PalmPay, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial health and ensuring seamless daily operations. Your core responsibilities will include:

Ensuring that all expense tickets are processed and paid within 3 working hours of receipt to aid the preparation and readiness of the management account.
Ensuring that all taxes (WHT) are correctly remitted promptly on all OPEX tickets.
Spooling the first draft of Cash GLs on the first working day of every month.
Collecting and reviewing all bank statements weekly and monthly.
Supporting monthly bank reconciliation of accounts domiciled with the finance department.
Carrying out any other function as directed by the line manager.

Requirements and Qualifications

To thrive in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
2–4 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
Professional accounting qualification or progress toward one (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage.
Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software.
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
