The Opportunity: Finance Manager

We are searching for an experienced, strategic, and results-oriented Finance Manager who can lead with integrity and foresight. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in supporting Nimojen Group's financial growth and ensuring impeccable operational standards. Key Responsibilities in This Role

As our Finance Manager, you will be pivotal in driving financial excellence through a range of critical duties:

Driving the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting processes, strengthening financial controls, and enhancing reporting systems.
Preparing and posting monthly accruals, prepayments, and other essential accounting journal entries.
Leading the annual budgeting cycle and overseeing periodic forecasting processes to ensure financial agility.
Analyzing monthly and quarterly financial performance, translating data into insightful reports for Management and the Board.
Managing the entire external audit process, acting as the primary liaison with our external auditors.
Monitoring working capital diligently and preparing accurate cash flow forecasts to optimize liquidity.
Overseeing payroll, ensuring meticulous tax compliance, VAT filings, and adherence to all other statutory obligations.
Proactively identifying financial and operational risks and implementing robust mitigation strategies.
Ensuring strict compliance with all applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal company policies.
Leading, mentoring, and fostering the professional development of the finance team to achieve departmental objectives and individual growth.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a highly qualified individual who meets the following criteria:

A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline.
Mandatory professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
A minimum of six (6) years of relevant post-qualification experience in accounting and finance, with at least two (2) years successfully spent in a managerial position.
Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and experience with various accounting software/ERP systems.
Proven experience in preparing statutory financial statements.
Demonstrated ability to develop and effectively manage multi-million-naira budgets.
Experience in managing annual external audits from planning to completion.
Exceptional analytical, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
