Role Overview
The Capital Market Research Analyst will be tasked with conducting in-depth financial analysis and market research across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and alternative capital market instruments. By evaluating macroeconomic indicators, regulatory policies, and company-specific financial performance, you will generate actionable investment insights and strategic recommendations to support high-level decisions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market Research & Analysis
- Perform thorough fundamental and quantitative research on listed companies, emerging industries, and broader market sectors.
- Monitor global and domestic economic indicators, central bank monetary policies, and shifting regulatory landscapes.
- Dissect financial statements, quarterly earnings reports, and corporate disclosures to accurately evaluate asset potential.
- Identify market trends, emerging risks, and untapped investment opportunities to advise senior management.
2. Investment Valuation & Financial Modeling
- Draft detailed equity and fixed-income research reports alongside strategic investment recommendations.
- Build, maintain, and update comprehensive financial models utilizing valuation methodologies such as Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Comparable Company Analysis, Dividend Discount Model (DDM), and Relative Valuation Metrics.
- Conduct bond performance reviews, yield curve analyses, duration tracking, and rigorous credit risk assessments.
3. Reporting & Presentation
- Produce high-quality daily, weekly, and monthly market intelligence reports.
- Prepare and deliver compelling investment presentations and research briefs for key internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain the integrity of the firm's internal financial research databases.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Compliance
- Collaborate and build relationships with key market participants, including stockbrokers, fund managers, and investment bankers.
- Participate actively in earnings calls, investor conferences, and corporate briefings.
- Ensure all market research operations remain strictly compliant with prevailing regulatory frameworks and internal risk policies.
