The Opportunity: Business Relationship Manager
As a Business Relationship Manager, you will be a pivotal force in Moniepoint's growth strategy. What You'll Get To Do: Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Development: Spearhead business development activities and actively solicit new business, focusing on customer acquisition through the effective sale of Moniepoint's diverse suite of products and services.
- Comprehensive Product Sales: Engage in cross-selling of our extensive range of financial and business management products, ensuring clients benefit from our full ecosystem.
- Proactive Sales & Networking: Actively seek out new sales opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, professional networking, and leveraging social media platforms.
- Sales Strategy & Performance: Develop and execute effective marketing strategies aimed at achieving ambitious sales targets. You will conduct daily meetings with your sales team, review previous day's performance, and collaboratively plan for the week ahead to ensure consistent progress.
- Relationship Management: Skillfully manage and maintain strong, productive relationships with current business partners and merchants, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct thorough market research to identify new selling possibilities, understand customer pain points, and accurately evaluate their financial needs.
- Community Engagement: Actively participate in market storms, community fairs, and cluster marketing events such as trade fairs to increase brand visibility and generate leads.
- Customer-Centric Solutions: Implement best practices to consistently meet and exceed customers' needs and requirements, ensuring a superior client experience.
- Product Presentation & Education: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations on Moniepoint's products and services to prospective and existing clients.
- Collaborative Success: Work closely with internal teams, sharing insights and collaborating to achieve collective goals and enhance overall performance.
- Feedback Loop: Gather valuable feedback from customers and prospects, relaying it to internal teams to inform product development and service improvements.
- Financial Advisory: Understand customers' unique financial needs and objectives to recommend the most appropriate financial products or services.
To Succeed In This Role, We Think You Should Have:
- Educational Background: A tertiary education from a recognized institution.
- Extensive Sales Experience: 4-5 years of in-depth sales experience, with a strong preference for candidates from the banking, fintech, or similar industries.
- Industry Acumen: A strong understanding of the local financial services industry.
- Merchant Expertise: Proven experience in marketing/sales within the banking sector, with a particular emphasis on onboarding and managing merchants.
- Added Advantage: Experience selling lending services and merchant POS devices to corporate clients, coupled with a good network of enterprise merchants.
- Business Savvy: Strong business acumen and an analytical thought process that drives effective decision-making.
- Independent Execution: The ability to execute goals independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and self-direction.
- Exceptional Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective engagement with diverse stakeholders.
- Local Residency: Must be a resident in Abia State.
