This is an exciting opportunity to lead the strategy, acquisition, and management of risk asset portfolios through innovative platforms and business partnerships.
Role Overview
In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of scaling our lending operations, mitigating risks, and driving revenue growth. You will spearhead initiatives that align with our organizational objectives, ensuring that our risk asset portfolios remain healthy, profitable, and compliant with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for growing risk asset portfolios through partnerships, platform integrations, and direct business engagements.
- Risk Asset Portfolio Management: Oversee the evaluation, approval, and onboarding of partnerships while ensuring all credit opportunities meet stringent risk management policies and compliance standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and nurture relationships with strategic partners, business clients, and financial institutions, negotiating terms that balance risk and return.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and train a team of Business Development Officers, coordinating closely with cross-functional teams including credit, risk, compliance, and operations.
- Market Analysis & Reporting: Conduct thorough market research, analyze data to inform decision-making, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide detailed insights to senior management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields (MBA or professional certifications like CFA or ACCA are highly preferred).
- Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in business development, credit risk management, or related fields within financial services or fintech.
- Deep understanding of credit risk assessment, asset-based lending, and financial products.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM and financial analysis tools.
