About the Role: Accounts Supervisor
The Accounts Supervisor role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of our client accounts. You will be the primary contact for daily client communications, entrusted with the crucial responsibility of monitoring and managing the performance of our account executives and representatives. This leadership position demands a blend of financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, all while ensuring our operations align with client expectations and company objectives.
Key Responsibilities: Driving Financial Excellence
As an Accounts Supervisor, your contributions will be central to our financial integrity and operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing essential support to the accounts team, facilitating their day-to-day operations and ensuring seamless workflow.
- Actively assisting in the strategic management of practice finances, with a keen focus on maximizing income streams and optimizing expenditure.
- Meticulously monitoring cash flow, developing accurate forecasts, and predicting workflow to correspond with income projections.
- Thoroughly reviewing all income and expenditure statements, promptly identifying and rectifying any inaccuracies.
- Ensuring timely payment of invoices, maintaining robust financial health for the organization.
- Implementing and maintaining an effective and transparent system for handling petty cash and cheques.
- Assisting in the oversight of Social Security contributions for all practice staff, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Presenting insightful financial forecasts to partners as and when required, providing critical data for strategic decision-making.
- Briefing the business comprehensively on the financial implications of new contracts and legislative changes affecting our practice.
- Developing and implementing highly effective debt management processes, including navigating petty debt court procedures when necessary.
Who We Are Looking For: Your Profile
To excel in this challenging yet rewarding role, we are seeking a candidate who possesses a strong foundation of education, extensive experience, and critical competencies:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field is essential.
- Professional Certifications: Attainment of a prestigious professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, ICAN (Chartered Accountant), or a CFA Charterholder designation is a mandatory requirement.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a treasury function within the EPC, oil & gas, or broader energy sectors, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry-specific financial dynamics.
- Technical Acumen: A strong understanding of project finance structures, various bonds/guarantees, and comprehensive risk management principles is crucial.
