In this pivotal role, you will take the helm of the company's financial management framework, ensuring long-term profitability, sustainability, and strict regulatory compliance across multiple international locations including Ghana, the DRC, the UAE, and Sierra Leone.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general supervision and strategic leadership for the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Department.
- Develop and implement robust financial strategies aligned with overall corporate objectives.
- Oversee comprehensive budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Deliver insightful quarterly financial reports to the Board of Directors and Executive Management to guide decision-making.
- Ensure stringent compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and local tax laws across all Group locations.
- Establish, monitor, and refine internal controls to safeguard company assets and drive cash flow optimization.
- Lead external audits, regulatory reviews, and manage vital relationships with banks, investors, and auditors.
- Supervise multi-departmental financial operations, including P&L, Projects, Contracts, and Service & Maintenance.
- Lead, mentor, and foster a culture of excellence within the global Accounts & Finance team.
Core Requirements
- Education: MBA or MSc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as ICAN, ACCA, or CFA are strongly preferred.
- Experience: A robust background in corporate finance, investment analysis, risk management, and multi-departmental operations.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems, with specific expertise in SAP S/4Hana.
- Competencies: Exceptional strategic thinking, advanced negotiation abilities, and high-level stakeholder management skills.
- Languages: Proficiency in French will be considered a distinct advantage.
