The Opportunity: Accounting Manager

We are actively seeking an experienced and highly qualified Accounting Manager to take the helm of our comprehensive accounting operations. Key Responsibilities of the Role:

Operational Oversight: Lead and manage all day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Financial Reporting: Be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as insightful management reports that guide business strategy.
Compliance & Governance: Guarantee strict adherence to all Nigerian tax laws, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and internal company policies, maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity.
Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee the budgeting process, develop accurate financial forecasts, and diligently monitor cash flow to support optimal financial health and resource allocation.
Audit & Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and regulatory authorities, coordinating all audit and inspection activities efficiently.
Internal Controls: Design, implement, and rigorously maintain robust internal financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial reporting reliability.

Who We Are Looking For:

To thrive in this challenging yet rewarding role, you will possess a strong blend of academic qualification, professional accreditation, and extensive practical experience:

Education: A minimum of a Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is essential.
Professional Membership: Must be a registered member of a recognized accounting professional body in Nigeria, such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN).
Experience: A proven track record of at least 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, demonstrating a trajectory of increased responsibility and leadership.
Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and IFRS is critical.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in leading accounting software solutions and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required for effective data analysis and reporting.
Leadership & Analytical Acumen: Exceptional analytical, organizational, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and drive financial initiatives effectively.
