The Role
As an Accountant, you will be the backbone of financial integrity within the firm. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting budget implementation. The ideal candidate will ensure that all financial processes align with company policies and best practices, contributing to the overall success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions on a daily basis.
- Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Efficiently process payments, invoices, and employee expense claims.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements.
- Perform daily cash reconciliations and monitor inventory-related financial activity.
- Assist in the strategic preparation and monitoring of organizational budgets.
- Support payroll processing and ensure proper financial documentation is preserved.
- Provide critical support during both internal and external audit exercises.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional accounting experience.
- Certification: Professional accounting certifications will be viewed as a significant advantage.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, high levels of personal integrity, confidentiality, and excellent time management skills.
