Job Summary

The Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of the company. In this role, you will be responsible for keeping accurate financial records, processing transactions efficiently, assisting with budget implementation, and ensuring strict compliance with established accounting policies and procedures across all assigned business units.

Key Responsibilities

As the Accountant, your daily duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Recording and maintaining highly accurate financial transactions.
Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to aid management decision-making.
Processing payments, invoices, and employee expense claims seamlessly.
Maintaining and managing general ledger accounts.
Conducting daily cash reconciliations to prevent discrepancies.
Reconciling bank statements and vendor accounts regularly.
Monitoring financial transactions related to inventory.
Assisting in budget preparation, tracking, and monitoring.
Supporting payroll processing activities to ensure timely and accurate staff payments.
Maintaining organized and proper financial documentation and records.
Ensuring strict compliance with company financial policies and regulatory requirements.
Supporting internal and external audit exercises when required.

Qualifications & Experience

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or any other related discipline.
A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional accounting experience.
A professional accounting certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is considered an added advantage.
