Opportunity: Account Officer at The People Practice

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong grasp of financial bookkeeping, invoicing, and expense management. As an Account Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health of the institution by maintaining precise records and facilitating smooth billing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage campus accounts payable and receivable efficiently.
Maintain an up-to-date billing system and ensure invoices are generated on time.
Utilize Xero ERP to allocate payments and perform regular account reconciliations.
Monitor customer accounts to identify and resolve payment irregularities or billing disputes.
Maintain campus imprest and ensure timely posting of all expenses.
Collaborate effectively with the Group Accountant and CFO to ensure financial accuracy.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education: B.Sc. or HND in Accounting or Finance. Possession of ACA/ACCA/MBA is highly desirable.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting and finance.
Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of Nigerian Taxation Laws is required. Experience with Xero accounting ERP and MS Office suite is an added advantage.
Soft Skills: Exceptional multi-tasking abilities, strong leadership potential, and the ability to communicate professionally with vendors and clients.
