The Opportunity: Account Officer

Key Responsibilities

Maintain Accurate Financial Records: Ensure all financial records and accounting documents are meticulously kept and up-to-date, forming the backbone of our financial integrity.
Record Daily Transactions & Reconcile Accounts: Precisely record all daily income and expenses, followed by thorough reconciliation of accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Prepare Financial Documents: Generate invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers accurately and in a timely manner, facilitating smooth financial operations.
Assist in Payroll & Statutory Remittances: Provide crucial support in the efficient processing of payroll and ensure timely and accurate statutory remittances, adhering to all regulatory requirements.
Monitor Cash Flow & Prepare Reports: Vigilantly monitor cash flow and prepare periodic financial reports that offer insightful summaries of the company's financial health.
Reconcile Bank Statements: Conduct regular reconciliation of bank statements with company accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies promptly.
Support Budgeting & Financial Planning: Actively assist in budgeting processes and financial planning activities, contributing to strategic financial management.
Ensure Compliance: Uphold and ensure strict compliance with all company financial policies and procedures, maintaining a high standard of financial governance.
Assist with Audits: Provide essential assistance during audits and other accounting-related tasks, ensuring transparency and accountability.

What We're Looking For

Educational Background: A National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
Relevant Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of practical experience in an accounting role, demonstrating foundational knowledge and practical skills.
Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, along with experience using accounting software to manage financial data efficiently.
Analytical Acumen: Excellent numerical and analytical skills, enabling you to process complex financial data and derive meaningful insights.
