Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for a diverse range of accounting functions, including:

Reconciling accounts receivable and the general ledger to maintain financial accuracy.
Managing the aged debtors' report and actively following up on outstanding balances.
Processing customer receipts and managing banking activities.
Handling the full accounts payable cycle, from invoice processing to preparing payment schedules.
Managing petty cash and maintaining meticulous records of all financial transactions.
Supporting the finance team with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and accruals.
Assisting in audit preparations and ensuring full compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

Education: A B.Sc. in Accounting is required. Professional certification (ACA, ICAN, or ACCA) will be considered a distinct advantage.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in an accounting or finance capacity.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (specifically Pivot Tables and lookup functions) is essential. Prior experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP, is highly preferred.
Soft Skills: A strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
