Role Overview and Key Responsibilities

As an Account Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization. This position offers an exceptional hands-on experience in corporate accounting, allowing you to work closely with senior professionals. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Transaction Management: Managing all day-to-day accounting transactions efficiently.
Financial Forecasting & Reporting: Assisting in preparing comprehensive budget forecasts and ensuring the timely publication of financial statements.
Month-End Closings: Handling monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
Reconciliations: Performing thorough reconciliations of accounts payable and receivable.
Taxation & Banking: Ensuring timely bank payments, computing taxes accurately, and preparing tax returns.
Financial Documentation: Managing balance sheets and profit/loss statements, as well as auditing financial transactions and documents.
Data Security: Reinforcing financial data confidentiality and conducting regular database backups to safeguard information.

Requirements and Qualifications

This is an entry-level position designed for individuals eager to learn and grow within the financial sector. The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

Education: Minimum of an OND (Ordinary National Diploma) or NCE (National Certificate in Education) in Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
