The core purpose of the Security Controller role is unequivocal: to safeguard people and property from any potential criminal activity. This involves a proactive and diligent approach to maintaining a secure environment across all De Tastee Group premises, contributing directly to the comfortable and safe experience our patrons and employees expect.

Main Accountabilities: Your Responsibilities in Detail

As a Security Controller, your day-to-day responsibilities will be diverse and critical, encompassing:

Patrol and Monitoring: Systematically patrolling and monitoring assigned areas, with a keen eye for detail, and promptly reporting any suspicious activities to relevant local authorities.
Surveillance Oversight: Diligently monitoring surveillance cameras, conducting thorough inspections of property grounds, and effectively monitoring crowds to pre-empt and address potential issues.
Emergency Response: Acting as a primary contact point during emergencies, swiftly contacting law enforcement or the fire department as required.
After-Hours Security: Conducting comprehensive checks of doors, windows, and gates after business hours to ensure the complete security of all property.
Incident Investigation: Investigating reports of suspicious activity on the property with professionalism and discretion, gathering necessary information for appropriate action.
Detainment Protocols: Exercising reasonable authority to detain persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives, adhering strictly to legal guidelines.
Premises Management: Courteously and professionally escorting discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises when necessary.
Ad-hoc Duties: Fulfilling any other duties that may be assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a team-oriented approach to security operations.

Qualifications: What We Are Looking For

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

A B.Sc. Degree or HND in a related field, demonstrating a foundational understanding pertinent to security operations and management.
Possession of a Professional Certificate will be considered a significant advantage, highlighting a commitment to specialized security knowledge and best practices.
