Key Responsibilities of a Buymore Cashier
As a Cashier at Buymore Supermarket, your responsibilities will span critical areas, ensuring both operational efficiency and outstanding customer interactions:
1. Operation of Cash, Desk, and Systems:
- Proficiently operate the cash desk, till, and back-office systems, strictly adhering to Buymore’s established procedures.
- Accurately process all sales transactions, ensuring precision and accountability.
- Diligently capture customer details for any loyalty schemes, contributing to our customer retention efforts.
- Efficiently process all sale return transactions, ensuring they are duly approved by a Supervisor or General Supervisor.
- Assist customers by checking the availability of stock for requested products.
2. Exceptional Customer Service:
- Extend a warm welcome to all customers, ensuring they consistently receive the highest possible standard of service.
- Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, creating a positive shopping atmosphere.
- Promptly respond to customer questions and, if unable to provide a satisfactory answer, expertly direct them to the Supervisor on duty.
3. Execution of Policies and Procedures:
- Execute all operating standards, policies, and procedures of the organization with unwavering compliance, upholding Buymore’s commitment to quality and consistency.
4. Other Essential Contributions:
- Maintain a consistently tidy and presentable work area, reflecting our commitment to a clean and organized shopping environment.
- Act as a proud champion of the Buymore Brand and its core Values, representing us positively at all times.
- Champion the Standard Operating Procedures of Buymore, contributing to a streamlined and efficient workflow.
- Perform reconciliation of previous day’s transactions with the Accounts Department.
- Execute cashing out procedures at the appropriate time, in strict accordance with Buymore’s policy.
- Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management, demonstrating adaptability and teamwork.
