Sun King (formerly Greenlight Planet), the world’s leading provider of solar home energy for off-grid homes, is looking for a dedicated Area Business Manager to lead our direct distribution operations in Ohafia, Abia State.

As an Area Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our 'EasyBuy' business unit, driving sales, managing collections, and expanding our reach through a network of talented Energy Officers.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Recruitment: Hire, train, and mentor a team of at least 40 Energy Officers to expand our solar footprint.
Operations Excellence: Manage day-to-day sales routes, provide comprehensive product training, and ensure professional conduct within your designated territory.
Performance Management: Consistently meet or exceed sales and collection targets, providing regular, data-driven updates to your Regional Business Manager.
Field Engagement: Lead by example through regular field visits, joint sales activations, and community engagement to build brand trust.
Customer Advocacy: Ensure top-tier customer service, resolving installation or payment concerns within 24 hours to maintain our reputation for excellence.
Market Strategy: Monitor competitor activity and implement strategies to ensure Sun King remains the premier solar provider in your area.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are seeking candidates who possess a unique blend of leadership, sales acumen, and operational discipline. The ideal candidate will have:

A degree in a Business-related field or equivalent experience.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in sales and field operations.
Strong technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent interpersonal and coaching abilities, with a natural talent for building lasting relationships.
A proactive, 'out-of-the-box' mindset combined with a commitment to operational excellence.
Deep knowledge of the assigned territory and its community dynamics.
