As we continue to expand our operations in Kano, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Sourcing Manager to join our dynamic Supply Chain & Procurement team.

The Role

As our Sourcing Manager, you will serve as a vital link in our production chain. Your primary objective is to identify, qualify, and negotiate with top-tier suppliers—both locally and internationally—to ensure we have a seamless supply of raw materials and packaging. You will play a strategic role in maintaining cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and the highest quality standards, ensuring our production lines never falter.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Development: Identify and cultivate relationships with new suppliers for critical materials such as milk powder, cereals, and oils.
Strategic Sourcing: Implement robust procurement strategies to protect the company from market volatility and supply disruptions.
Negotiation & Procurement: Lead high-stakes negotiations to secure the best value, including payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions.
Risk Management: Monitor market trends, foreign exchange impacts, and supply risks to ensure continuity of operations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the Quality Assurance, Finance, and Production departments to maintain alignment on food safety standards, budgets, and stock requirements.
Compliance: Ensure all sourcing activities meet NAFDAC, SON, and ISO requirements.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field. (A Master’s degree or professional certification is a plus).
5–10 years of relevant experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, or agro-industrial operations.
Expertise in international sourcing, import/export logistics, and ERP-based procurement processes.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and strong analytical capabilities.
