This pivotal role will be instrumental in supporting and optimising our commercial operations, ensuring seamless execution and driving strategic growth.
About the Role
The successful Sales Operation Lead will be at the heart of our commercial success, taking ownership of critical functions that span sales pipeline management, CRM governance, and comprehensive commercial reporting. You will be instrumental in coordinating bid submissions, refining forecasting processes, and spearheading process improvement initiatives. This position is ideal for a professional who possesses the unique ability to transform raw data into actionable insights, enhance visibility across the entire sales funnel, and collaborate effectively with diverse cross-functional teams to ensure our commercial strategies are executed flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the sales pipeline with meticulous attention to CRM data integrity.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, pipeline movement, conversion rates, and key revenue metrics.
- Produce insightful and regular sales reports, dashboards, and forecasting analyses to guide strategic decisions.
- Coordinate all proposal and bid submissions efficiently across various departments, ensuring timely and compelling responses.
- Continuously improve sales processes, reporting structures, and operational workflows to boost efficiency.
- Champion the adoption of AI-powered tools and automation solutions to significantly enhance sales productivity.
- Foster strong collaboration with Sales, Partnerships, Product, Finance, Legal, and Delivery teams to achieve overarching commercial success.
Qualifications & Experience
We are seeking candidates who bring a robust blend of academic foundation and practical experience:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline is essential.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, CRM Administration, Data Analytics, Project Management, or related fields will be a distinct advantage.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Commercial Operations, CRM Administration, Sales Enablement, Business Operations, Bid Management, or similar roles.
- Demonstrated Skills: Proven expertise in managing sales pipelines, accurate forecasting, effective CRM system utilization, robust commercial reporting, and performance tracking.
- Bid Coordination: Hands-on experience coordinating bids, proposals, tenders, and complex cross-functional commercial initiatives.
- Operational Acumen: A strong understanding of sales processes, revenue operations, pipeline management, and sophisticated business reporting.
- Analytical Prowess: A proven ability to meticulously analyze data, identify critical trends, and deliver actionable recommendations to management.
- Process Improvement: Experience driving significant process improvements, enhancing operational efficiency, and implementing commercial governance frameworks.
- Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft 365, various CRM platforms, dashboard creation, and advanced reporting tools.
- Industry Experience (Advantageous): Experience within technology, professional services, HR services, recruitment, assessment, training, compliance, identity management, or enterprise solutions environments.
