About the Role

As an Assistant Salesman, your primary objective is to support the Salesman in achieving sales targets through effective product delivery, accurate stock management, and professional customer service. You will be instrumental in ensuring that products are properly handled, displayed, and accounted for throughout all sales operations.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Salesman in safely loading and unloading products from delivery vehicles.
Support product delivery to customers in strict accordance with the daily route plan.
Help arrange and display products on shelves following company merchandising standards.
Ensure accurate counting and recording of stock during loading, delivery, and returns processing.
Assist in collecting customer returns and processing payments where applicable.
Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and proper handling of all company products and property.
Promptly report any customer complaints, product damages, or inventory discrepancies to the Salesman or Supervisor.
Ensure meticulous documentation of daily sales activities and stock movements.
Uphold the company's positive image and values through strong customer relations and professional conduct.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education: Minimum of an SSCE / WAEC / NECO certificate.
Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role within the FMCG sector is considered a strong added advantage.
Basic Skills: Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic accurately.
Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks, including heavy lifting.
Personal Attributes: Honest, reliable, highly dependable, and a strong team player.
Licensing & Driving: Must possess a valid driver's license and LASDRI certification.
Vehicle Handling: Must be fully capable of driving and handling manual transmission vehicles.
