The Role
As an Area Business Manager for our 'EasyBuy' business unit, you will be the driving force behind our direct distribution network. You will manage, mentor, and inspire a team of at least 40 'Energy Officers,' ensuring that our solar home systems reach the families who need them most. You will be responsible for the entire sales cycle—from recruitment and training to collections and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team of Energy Officers.
- Sales & Collections: Meet and exceed aggressive sales and collection targets while maintaining sustainable growth.
- Field Presence: Lead by example with daily field visits, conducting joint sales calls, and providing hands-on coaching to your team.
- Market Strategy: Monitor competitor activity and implement strategies to ensure Sun King remains the preferred solar provider in Keffi.
- Customer Excellence: Oversee the resolution of customer issues within 24 hours to ensure high levels of service and brand loyalty.
- Operational Oversight: Manage marketing resources and inventory effectively to maximize return on investment.
Who You Are
We are looking for a natural leader with a proven track record in sales. You should possess:
- A degree in a business-related field or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on sales experience.
- Strong technical skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- A deep understanding of the local territory and community dynamics.
- An innovative mindset with the ability to solve problems on the fly.
