Effective communication and robust knowledge management are critical to its success, ensuring that key messages reach relevant stakeholders and program insights are captured and disseminated efficiently.

Scope of Services: Your Role and Impact

As a successful candidate, you will play a pivotal role in implementing the Soil Values Program's comprehensive communication strategy in Nigeria. You will be instrumental in ensuring that all communication and Knowledge Management activities adhere to established guidelines and procedures, working in close collaboration with our dedicated program teams. Your key responsibilities will include:

Content Creation: Producing diverse and engaging communication content, including newsletters, articles, compelling photos, informative videos, vibrant social media posts, and various visual materials, all centered around the program's activities and achievements.
Event Coverage: Actively contributing to the organization and comprehensive coverage of field activities, events, and workshops. This involves shooting photos/videos, conducting interviews, writing detailed reports, and ensuring timely reporting.
Internal & External Communication Support: Facilitating effective internal communication and Knowledge Management initiatives. You will also support the popularization of innovative agricultural technologies and foster valuable media partnerships across Nigeria.
Information Monitoring: Participating in ongoing information monitoring activities, staying abreast of topics and developments related to agriculture and agricultural policies within the Sahel region.

Who We Are Looking For: Requirements

To be eligible for this impactful position, candidates must demonstrate the following qualifications and attributes:

Educational Background: You must be a student or recent graduate in communication, journalism, public relations, or marketing.
Passion for Development: Possess a strong and demonstrable interest in agricultural, environmental, climate, and sustainable development issues.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in local languages relevant to Nigeria will be considered a significant asset.
Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent writing skills and a strong creative flair for producing engaging and high-quality content across various formats.
Digital Acumen: Demonstrate a solid understanding and knowledge of digital communication tools and platforms.
Multimedia Proficiency: Basic proficiency in multimedia production tools (e.g., for video editing, graphic design) is an advantage.
