As our Wholesale Finance Principal, you will provide vital guidance and oversight, supporting our collections strategy and nurturing essential cross-functional partnerships. This role is instrumental in achieving effective resolution of outstanding balances, significantly improving cash flow, and directly supporting our broader business objectives. You will work closely with leadership, our valued customers, and internal stakeholders to proactively address account issues, identify both risks and opportunities, and champion consistency, accuracy, and continuous improvement throughout all collections and financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively manage collections for a portfolio of 200-300 Wholesale Telecommunications accounts, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Conduct thorough research into billing disputes, meticulously determining credit eligibility in strict adherence to GOA and SOX guidelines.
Provide critical data and insights related to system integrations, ensuring seamless financial operations.
Collaborate closely with management to generate and present accurate, insightful financial reports to key leaders, informing strategic decisions.
Monitor and review existing processes and outstanding balances for efficiency and accuracy, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal departments, facilitating collaborative problem-solving for complex account issues.
Identify potential financial risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to optimize performance and mitigate liabilities.

Requirements

To excel in this critical role, we are looking for a professional with a proven track record in finance and collections:

A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Demonstrable experience, typically 5+ years, in wholesale collections, accounts receivable management, or a similar finance role within the telecommunications industry.
Deep understanding of financial compliance requirements, including GOA and SOX guidelines.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and data-driven decision making.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities, capable of engaging effectively with customers, leadership, and diverse internal teams.
Proficiency with financial software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
