As our new Vice President of Platform Engineering, you will lead a dynamic, motivated, and innovative team of approximately 20 engineers and 4 managers. Your team spans critical domains, including backend platform, frontend platform, DevOps, architecture, accessibility, and quality assurance. Your mission is to nurture and evolve a well-loved product, always embracing new ideas and approaches while ensuring scalability, reliability, and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the technical strategy and roadmap for Frontify's core platform, aligning it with overall business objectives and product vision.
Team Empowerment: Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse, high-performing team of engineers and managers, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and innovation.
Technical Excellence: Drive best practices in software development, architecture, testing, and operational excellence to ensure a robust, scalable, and secure platform.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product management, design, and other engineering leaders to deliver impactful features and maintain a cohesive technical vision.
Operational Oversight: Ensure the reliability, performance, and maintainability of the platform, proactively addressing challenges and optimizing systems for long-term success.
Innovation Driver: Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, advocating for and implementing solutions that enhance our product and engineering capabilities.

Requirements

Extensive leadership experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of managing and scaling large, multi-disciplinary engineering teams (20+ individuals, including managers).
Deep expertise in building and operating highly scalable, distributed systems and cloud-native architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Strong understanding of various engineering domains, including backend, frontend, DevOps, microservices, and database technologies.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing across all levels of an organization.
A strategic mindset with the ability to translate business goals into technical strategies and deliver tangible results.
Demonstrated success in fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performance engineering culture.
Experience working in a fast-paced, product-driven environment, ideally within a SaaS company.
