Overview

The VP of Engineering will own the end-to-end migration of Crystal’s entire data infrastructure. You will be responsible for orchestrating this transition without disrupting the low-latency, high-availability SLAs our customers rely on, all while accelerating our product roadmap and maturing our engineering management practices. This is a fully remote, worldwide opportunity, allowing you to build and lead a top-tier engineering organization across borders.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Migration: Lead the end-to-end migration from our legacy stack to our new AI-native data pipeline.
Technical Leadership: Oversee the integration of new data architectures while ensuring 100% uptime and performance for our enterprise customers.
Organizational Scaling: Evolve our engineering management discipline, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and technical rigor.
Product Roadmap Delivery: Balance the demands of platform migration with the continuous delivery of high-impact features for our financial and regulatory clients.
Cross-functional Partnership: Align engineering output with product, sales, and executive objectives to define our long-term technical vision.

Requirements

Proven track record as a VP of Engineering or Head of Engineering within a high-scale data, SaaS, or blockchain infrastructure company.
Deep experience managing large-scale infrastructure migrations in a production environment without service disruption.
Expertise in building and maintaining high-availability, low-latency distributed systems.
Strong background in data engineering, AI/ML pipelines, and modern cloud-native architectures.
A structured, process-oriented management style, with experience scaling engineering teams and implementing robust development lifecycles.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between complex technical challenges and business-level strategy.
