Overview

As our Virtual CISO and Cybersecurity Practice Lead, you will act as the principal security advisor for an exciting roster of mid-market organizations. You will own the entire client journey, guiding companies ranging from twenty-five to one-50 million dollars in revenue through comprehensive risk assessments, strategic planning, and resilient defense frameworks. Key Responsibilities

Lead comprehensive security risk assessments and compliance audits for a diverse portfolio of mid-market clients.
Act as the fractional Chief Information Security Officer, advising executive leadership on critical threat mitigation and cybersecurity investments.
Design, implement, and scale robust security policies tailored to the unique operational needs of growing businesses.
Translate complex technical vulnerabilities into clear, actionable business strategies for non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with our integrated marketing and PR teams to manage crisis communications surrounding security incidents.

Requirements

Extensive hands-on experience in cybersecurity leadership, risk management, or serving as a virtual CISO.
Deep familiarity with industry standard frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or NIST.
Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to brief executive boards and non-technical founders.
An ownership mindset that embraces fast-moving environments and high accountability from day one.
Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are strongly preferred.
