About the Role
As a Utilities Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the backbone of plant operations. You will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining critical utility systems to guarantee optimal performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor boilers, Water Treatment Plants (WTP), generators, and other essential utility equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and execute basic preventive maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot utility equipment faults efficiently and report major issues promptly to management.
- Maintain accurate utility logbooks and operational records.
- Assist with basic stainless steel (SS) and mild steel (MS) welding and fabrication tasks.
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety and operational standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: OND in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience: 2 to 3 years of hands-on industrial experience, preferably within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
- Technical Skills: Practical knowledge of boilers, WTP, and generators; basic knowledge of SS and MS welding.
- Competencies: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Availability: Willingness to work in shifts as required by plant operations.
