Role Overview
This is a hands-on remote role requiring seamless transitioning between architectural design, interior design, visualization, documentation, and research. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented, open to continuous learning, solution-driven, and comfortable receiving constructive feedback to deliver top-tier work autonomously.
Key Responsibilities
- Architectural Design & Space Planning: Develop functional, climate-responsive floor plans, elevations, sections, and drawings. Translate client briefs into thoughtful spatial designs and refine layouts for improved usability.
- Interior Design: Create interior layouts, furniture arrangements, material finish selections, and lighting concepts balancing aesthetics, comfort, and durability.
- 3D Modelling & Visualisation: Produce accurate 3D architectural and interior models alongside high-quality renders that clearly communicate design intent.
- Technical & Construction Documentation: Prepare detailed architectural working drawings, dimensioned plans, sections, and joinery/furniture schedules for construction and site execution.
- Research & Design Development: Research climate-responsive strategies, emerging design tech, materials, and construction techniques to elevate overall project quality.
- Project Execution & Remote Collaboration: Take end-to-end ownership of tasks, attend virtual design reviews, maintain organized files on shared drives, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary remote teams.
Required Qualifications & Technical Skills
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or HND in Architecture, Interior Design, or a closely related field (a Master’s degree in Architecture is an added advantage).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience with a strong portfolio showcasing completed architectural and/or interior design projects.
- 2D Drafting: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Archicad, or equivalent drafting software.
- 3D Modelling & Rendering: Skill with SketchUp, Revit, Archicad, Rhino, Enscape, Lumion, D5 Render, V-Ray, or Twinmotion.
- Technical Documentation: Strong understanding of drafting standards, working drawings, space planning, and construction detailing.
- Remote Setup: A reliable computer capable of running heavy design software, stable high-speed internet, and a dedicated workspace.
