The Role
As our new Upholsterer, you will be the backbone of our production floor. You will be responsible for transforming raw components into high-quality furniture pieces. From padding and springs to the final leather or fabric application, your craftsmanship will ensure that every piece leaving our facility meets the high standards of durability and aesthetics our clients expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Excellence: Interpret technical drawings and production orders to measure, cut, and assemble furniture components with precision.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous inspections of finished products, ensuring every stitch and fold reflects our commitment to excellence.
- Safety & Efficiency: Operate industrial tools safely, maintain a clean workspace, and manage materials efficiently to minimize waste.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to meet daily and weekly output goals, contributing to a positive and efficient manufacturing environment.
Who You Are
We are looking for a professional who takes pride in their manual dexterity and eye for detail. The ideal candidate will possess:
- At least 2 years of proven experience in furniture upholstery or a related manufacturing role.
- A minimum of an SSCE qualification, with vocational certification being a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency with professional upholstery hand tools and machinery.
- A deep understanding of various fabrics, leathers, and padding techniques.
- The ability to problem-solve and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
